The Alps-Adriatic region in Ljubljana

The Alpe–Adria: TIP Show is not only the largest national fair for promoting tourism in Slovenia, but also the only official regional tourism event of the Alps-Adriatic region. On the one hand, the association and integration of the region is significant particularly for the promotion of this part of Europe in more remote markets such as Japan, USA, Australia, etc.

Slovenian tourist regions at the Show

In addition to Croatia, Slovenia is the only country covered by the Alps-Adriatic region in its entirety. This year, Alpe-Adria: TIP presents the following Slovenian tourist destinations, i.e. regions according to STO: Gorenjska, Osrednjeslovenska, Goriška – the Emerald Route, Obalno-kraška, Notranjsko-kraška, Jugovzhodna Slovenija (SE Slovenia), Spodnjeposavska, Zasavska, Savinjska, Podravska, Koroška and Pomurska.

Alpe–Adria: Tourism and Leisure Show at the end of January

Visit the leading event in the field of tourism in the Alps-Adriatic region, the Alpe–Adria: Tourism and Leisure Show, accompanied by the Boat Show, between 26–29 January 2012.

Croatia and campsite Straško

Who isn’t familiar with beautiful spots along the Adriatic, which annually attract numerous Slovenian visitors? This year, Novalja from the island of Pag presents itself at the Alpe-Adria Show with its campsite Straško, which is particularly suitable for families due to its 950 lots and 200 mobile homes (bungalows). Croatia as a whole participates at the Show with its offer organized by regions; in addition, certain individual exhibitors, such as sea shipping company Jadrolinija, Tourist Association of the City of Zagreb, etc., are also present at the event.

Compete for the JAKOB 2012 prize

Jakob is a prize for quality and excellence in tourism in the Alps-Adriatic region, which will be awarded at the Alpe–Adria: Tourism and Leisure Show at the end of January 2012. The international expert jury presided over by Prof. Janez Bogataj, PhD, each year chooses a winner based on the set criteria – the prize receive those, who significantly contribute to the mosaic of innovative tourist endeavours of the Alps-Adriatic region. The main theme of the Jakob 2012 competition is: Innovative tourist products in the field of alternative forms of leisure and relaxation.

A friendly reminder for all those active in the field of tourism and leisure and other interested: the deadline for applications for the Alpe–Adria: Tourism and Leisure Show 2012 is 30 November 2011. 22nd Ambient Ljubljana – Furniture Fair successfully completed

The Fair, which was officially opened on Tuesday, 8 November, by President of the National Council of Republic of Slovenia Blaž Kavčič, MSc, closed its doors on Sunday, 13 November. Over the 6 days, the Fair showcased 297 companies from 19 countries on 25,300 m2 of exhibition surfaces. As in previous years, the Top Ten prizes were presented for best creative achievements in the field of design.
