The new beer hall Bunker opened its door in Ljubljana under Jurček pavilion in the former Vinoteka (wine shop). You can choose among 70 sorts of beer, among them primarily Belgian beers – from pale, red ales and dark, wheat beers to fruit beers. There is also an exquisite choice of culinary specialties, with an emphasis on Italian cuisine, so that beer and food flavours are in harmony and they complement each other.

GR – Ljubljana Exhibition and Convention Centre has successfully joined AIPC - the International Association of Congress Centres - is the industry association for professional convention and exhibition centre managers world wide.

Alpe-Adria Fair, which takes place every year at the end of January at GR – Ljubljana Exhibition and Convention Centre, promotes development of tourism, also in the light of a sustainable development.

GR - Ljubljana Exhibition and Convention Centre was last year the Golden Sponsor of the conference Life Style Natural – Green Workplaces, which took place in the framework of the Nature-Health Fair.

Another international event will take place at GR in the year 2014: International Congress of Agricultural Economists (EAAE 2014). The event, which will try to redefine the strategy of the European agriculture and some other questions related to the environment, such as biodiversity and climate changes, will be organised by Ljubljana University and The Association of Agricultural Economists of Slovenia. 800 participants are expected to attend the congress

International Scout Conference, with approximately 1200 participants, will take place at GR-Ljubljana Exhibition and Convention Centre in 2014. It has been 20 years since The Slovenian Scout Association became a member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM), and at this jubilee it is hosting the 40th World Scout Conference, which is the highest decision-making body in WOSM.

GR – Ljubljana Exhibition and Convention Centre is the hosting company of CEFA Young Professionals Seminar (YPS), which is taking place on the 18th – 20th April 2012 in Ljubljana. The Seminar is dedicated to a continuation of the training of young exhibition sector employees and the creation of their own networking platform. The main themes are ‘Strategies and concepts for side events’ and ‘Trends in B2C events’.

In May 2012 GR – Ljubljana Exhibition and Convention Centre (Slovenia) is attending IMEX 2012 in Frankfurt, Germany for the 6th time. IMEX is the only meetings and incentive travel exhibition to combine attendance by a major outbound market with hosted international buyers.

HOME fair, the biggest fair in the area of civil engineering in Slovenia and its surroundings, was today officially opened by Mr. Radovan Žerjav, the Minister of Economic Development and Technology of the Republic of Slovenia. The Green Mission prize was also awarded at the opening ceremony. Since the year 2010 this prize has been given by GR – Ljubljana Exhibition and Convention Centre and Wood and Furniture Industry Association at the Slovenian Chamber of Commerce.

There are 628 companies from 26 countries which are presented at the 51st international HOME fair under the slogan Key Solutions. This year’s HOME is, the same as last year’s, the fair with the largest surface area because it extends on 24,000 square metres of the exhibition area: besides all available and two prefabricated halls, it also contains the premises of the neighbouring complex Apel (these premises have previously been used as a Slovenijales trade centre).
