The 7th CEFA Experts Meeting (CEM) will take place at GR – Ljubljana Exhibition and Convention Centre in November 20-21. 26 participants from eight countries will attend the topic »Web-shops – Online Booking Systems – Data Base management: How to deal with these subjects?«.

Today and tomorrow, GR-Ljubljana Exhibition and Convention Centre hosts the annual convention of the largest association of tourist agents in Great Britain, ABTA (Association of British Travel Agents). This is the biggest annual event of British tourism industry. This year, among participants there are more than 500 executives of British tourism as well as airline and ship operators and other industries linked to tourism.

The Home Fair is the largest international event form the field of construction not only in Slovenia, but also of the region incorporating our cross-border surroundings. This, year, products and services for your home, construction and builder’s joinery, heating and cooling technology, interior design, protection and landscaping are showcased on 24,000 square metres of exhibition surfaces in all available halls, two additional prefabricated halls and on external exhibition surfaces. Under the motto of Essential solutions, the Fair presents 585 companies from 33 countries.

Although the fair Alpe-Adria took place in the days when Slovenia was affected by a spell of bad weather, snow, icy rain and ice on the roads did not influence the attendance. The offer by 282 exhibitors of tourist services from 12 countries was visited by 14,800 people, among them Mr Borut Pahor, President of Slovenia.

The leading tourist fair in the region, Alpe-Adria: Tourism and Leisure Time is inviting the providers of tourist services to register. The event will take place from 29 January to 1 February 2014. The deadline for registration is 20 December. Those who will register by 1 December will enjoy special benefits. Once again we will award Jakob, a special prize for excellence and quality in tourism within Alps-Adriatic region. This year’s topic is Innovative Positive Street Food.

At the end of September 2014, the GR-Ljubljana Exhibition and Convention Centre will host the annual ABTA convention. The largest British tourist association (Association of British Travel Agents) and second largest association of this kind in the world consists of over 1200 companies with approximately 5000 branches of tourist agencies and around 900 travel organizers.

The 24th Ambient Ljubljana – furniture fair opens on the 1st October and lasts until Sunday. This year, it hosts 209 exhibitors from 21 countries. Compare tastes as well as styles and prices, of course. Get inspired by Italian design, which is presented as part of Italian festival 2013.

The 52th international Home fair ended with great success. The comprehensive exhibition covering all fields of civil engineering occupied all spatial capacities of the GR - Exhibition and Convention Centre plus two additional halls. The fair presented 628 companies from 33 countries.

Last year, almost 500.000 visitors attended exhibitions, meetings, congresses, corporate celebrations and other social events at the GR-Ljubljana Exhibition and Convention Centre. This represents an increase of more than 90.000 visitors compared to a year before. In other words: more than 200 events were held in 2012.

The Alpe-Adria-Trail runs along existing paths, connects them and hence has all the character of a hiking trail. On each stage there are several landmarks which substantially influence the rhythm of hiking. In future each stage will include at least one “magic place”, a special place where the four elements are in harmony.
