Today, at the GR – Ljubljana Exhibition and Convention Centre, we have opened the doors to the EBJIS 2021 International Annual Meeting organised by the European Bone and Joint Infection Society. It is a hybrid event being attended by 330 participants in person and about 200 online attendants. Although hybrid events are a special challenge the GR technical team executes them professionally and flawlessly. Ljubljana is a congress city and the business meetings industry makes an important contribution to its international recognition. Congress ambassadors are given much credit for that. Fort his conference thanks go to doc. dr. Marko Pokorn, who is a member of the society. As co-chair of the local organizing committee of the largest conference of the year, the ESPID 2019, he had a decisive influence on the fact that we hosted over 2,000 paediatricians from all over Europe at the GR as the venue of the event and in Ljubljana.
