Today and tomorrow, GR-Ljubljana Exhibition and Convention Centre hosts the annual convention of the largest association of tourist agents in Great Britain, ABTA (Association of British Travel Agents). This is the biggest annual event of British tourism industry. This year, among participants there are more than 500 executives of British tourism as well as airline and ship operators and other industries linked to tourism. The majority consists of the representatives of travel agencies. The convention presents an exceptional positive challenge for Slovenian tourism since the British are among the most travel-loving people in Europe; according to the number of accommodations in Slovenia, they currently hold the 6th position. With ABTA in Slovenia, this will certainly change.
