One week until opening of the Home fair

GR – Ljubljana Exhibition and Convention Centre (6 – 11 March 2012)

There are 628 companies from 26 countries which are presented at the 51st international HOME fair under the slogan Key Solutions. This year’s HOME is, the same as last year’s, the fair with the largest surface area because it extends on 24,000 square metres of the exhibition area: besides all available and two prefabricated halls, it also contains the premises of the neighbouring complex Apel (these premises have previously been used as a Slovenijales trade centre).  

The fair related to the field of civil engineering will be officially opened by Radovan Žerjav, the Minister of Economic Development and Technology. This official opening will take place on the first day of the fair, on Tuesday, March 6. The Green Mission prize will also be awarded at the opening. Since the year 2010 this prize has been given  for energy efficient and environment friendly products by GR – Ljubljana Exhibition and Convention Centre and Wood and Furniture Industry Association at the Slovenian Chamber of Commerce. There is a rich programme accompanying the fair which is being prepared by the ZRMK Civil Engineering Institute and Wood and Furniture Association at the Slovenian Chamber of Commerce. It is particularly worth mentioning a free counselling for the wider public with experts offering practical advice related to energy saving, sustainable and environment friendly building, redevelopment of buildings, etc. The organizer is, therefore, inviting all the interested public to attend this event – not only those who are building or rebuilding, or are planning to do it in the near future, but everyone else who should attend this fair because of the free counselling which is very topical, all the more so because of the times of crisis.
