GR Ljubljana launches a new brand identity and website
A new chapter begins for one of Slovenia’s leading event venues. Formerly recognised under the name Gospodarsko razstavišče, the venue now fully steps into the future as GR Ljubljana Congress and convention centre. The rebranding reflects the venue’s evolution into a contemporary congress and convention centre with a growing international profile and a stronger focus on the global meetings industry.
Why the Change?
Over the years, GR Ljubljana has evolved into a leading regional congress and convention centre, hosting international congresses, conferences, exhibitions, cultural events, and corporate gatherings. While the historic name Gospodarsko razstavišče remains deeply rooted in the local environment, the need for a clearer and more internationally understandable identity became increasingly important.
The new identity was created to communicate more clearly with international organisers, partners, and delegates. While the historic GR name remains an important part of the venue’s heritage, the addition of “Ljubljana Congress and Convention Centre” positions the venue more directly within the international MICE landscape and immediately defines its role on the market.
More than a visual refresh
The refreshed visual identity introduces a cleaner logo and a more vibrant, juicy green colour tone that brings freshness, energy, and stronger digital visibility to the brand. The new look reflects both Ljubljana’s green identity and the venue’s ambition to present itself as a dynamic, forward-looking platform for international events, congresses, exhibitions, and live experiences.
The digital side of the rebrand
At the heart of the transformation is the new website. It was developed to support sales, improve the user journey, and present the venue in a clearer, more intuitive, and internationally accessible way. With a strong focus on user experience, responsive design, and content structure, the new website reflects how organisers search, plan, and connect today.
The new website was developed in collaboration with digital agency CNJ, bringing together a multidisciplinary team across UX, design, development, and content. The project was led by Doris Kordić (CNJ), with UX by Jure Kožuh and Katja Strižnar, UI design by Reformatic Studio, development by the CNJ team, and website content and storytelling by Nina Černuta, GR Ljubljana.
