The GR - Ljubljana Exhibition and Convention Centre is
a leading convention venue in Slovenia. It is situated in the city centre. It
was established in 1954, and first exhibitions opened one year later. With its
more than half-a-century tradition, it is an ideal venue for busy fairs,
remarkable conventions and other entertaining, cultural and educative events.
In recent years it has become an excellent place for contemporary interactive
and educational worldwide exhibitions, such as Da Vinci - The Genius (2013),
Brain: The Inside Story (2014) and 1001 Invention (2015). It is easily
accessible: only a few minutes away from the main railway and bus station, with
a city bus stop in front of the main entrance, and 2500 parking spaces in close
vicinity it attracts 500,000 visitors per year.
Our vision:The GR - Ljubljana Exhibition and Convention Centre will be the leading
fairground for organizing fairs as well as other events in South-East Europe.
Our values:Ambition, innovation, knowledge, collaboration.
Our mission: Organization
of various events where exhibitors and visitors meet and creatively cooperate.
At the GR - Ljubljana Exhibition and Convention Centre
we pay attention to environmental aspects of our activities, bearing in mind sustainable
development and responsibility for the environment. We select 18 types of waste
and with a network of users return them as raw materials. We use little energy
and water. There is drinking water in all our halls - our guests can quench
their thirst at many drinking fountains.
We act according to the rules of fair trade and
respect of human rights, offering our employees as well as contractors equal
opportunities. We advocate clear principles
of transparent business activities with all contracts to prevent (non)financial
free-riding.
Led by CEO Iztok Bricl, MSc, the GR - Ljubljana
Exhibition and Convention Centre has 33 employees.
