MEMBERSHIP IN INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS


Gospodarsko razstavišče is involved in many important international organizations.

 

ICCA (International Congress and Convention Association)

ICCA is international association of congress organizers, one of the most distinguished organizations involved in the field of international meetings. Among their members are the main representatives from all the sectors, involved in the field of the meeting industry. ICCA is a truly global organization with more than 800 members in 80 countries all over the world. The seat of the association is in Amsterdam in Holland; its offices, however, are in the USA, Malaysia as well as Uruguay.

ITTFA (International Tourism Trade Fair Association)

The International Tourism Trade Fairs Association, ITTFA, was originally set up in 1992 with a European focus, (as ETTFA) and now with a global perspective has members from all around the world. Along with its Secretariat in London it meets three times a year, its primary goals being to seek new ways to encourage increased participation in travel shows, to improve standards and encourage future development of the industry. The chairman of ITTFA is Mr Tom Nutley. Ljubljana Exhibition and Convention Centre (GR) is a member of ITTFA since March 2008.
     




 

Zavod - Kongresnoturistični urad Slovenije (Slovenian Convention Bureau)

The Slovenian Convention Bureau acts as a professional intermediary between meeting planners and suppliers, assisting organisers to select the most appropriate solution for their event. Ljubljana Convention and Exhibition Centre (GR) is a member of the Slovenian Convention Bureau since 2007.
In March 2008 the Slovenian Convention Bureau awarded the Ljubljana Exhibition and Convention Centre two certificates in the E-convention capabilities and H-other offer categories. Last year the Centre also became a member of the most influential international organization in the field of congress tourism, ICCA.

CEFA (Central European Fair Alliance) - Cooperative association of the fair companies of the Middle, Southern and Eastern Europe

CEFA is an association of sixteen exhibition grounds from central and south-eastern Europe, whose intention is to strengthen international importance of fairs in this region. Ljubljanski sejem d.d. has been a member of the association since January 1995 when it was one of the signatories of the memorandum on cooperation of the central fair companies within the framework of the cooperative association of the fair companies of the Middle, Southern and Eastern Europe.
     

 

OIV (Office International de la Vigne et du Vin) - International Organisation of Vine and Wine

OIV is an international organization that deals with wine and wine-based products on scientific and technological levels. The office has been the sponsor of the Ljubljana wine competition since 1955. Due to its strict observation of OIV rules, the competition in Ljubljana has become also the test competition as regards regulation changes.
     
 

UIOE (Union Internationale des Oenologues) - International Union of Oenologists

UIOE brings together the world’s most famous oenologists. As a sponsor of the International Wine Competition in Ljubljana, it guarantees the participation of the most distinguished appraisers, which additionally strengthens its reputation as a high-quality and distinguished competition.
